The law firm of Brigitta I. Rahayoe & Partners (BIR), formerly Brigitta I. Rahayoe & Syamsuddin (BIR&S), was established in August 1996 as a Partnership of Legal Consultants in Indonesian Business Law. At present, BIR consists of a Managing Partner, ten Associates and one Foreign Legal Counsel, and is supported by twenty supporting staff.

WHAT'S NEW

Law No.3/2011 regarding Fund Transfer

On 23 March 2011, the government of the Republic of Indonesia has issued Law No. 3 of 2011 regarding Transfer of Fund (“Law No. 3/2011”). Law No. 3/2011 shall be effective as of 23 March 2011.

Law No. 3/2011 regulates that all transfer of funds shall be supervised by Bank Indonesia and that fund transfers must be done through companies with legal status which own licenses to transfer funds from Bank Indonesia.
